“ The atmosphere here is a classic small town bar. The most glaring feature is it has maybe the most textured ceiling I've ever seen. That being said it has a very positive feel to the place. I ordered the Triple D Burger ($15). A 1/3 lb Cheeseburger with pickles, onions and a slice of tomato, deep fried in Joe's Famous Batter Mix. This was made famous on the TV show "Diner's, Drive-ins, and Dives." The burger was very unique. The batter is excellent and it was cooked perfectly. I enjoyed the burger and I recommend it for the experience. It is a very good Burger, it's just not in my top 10. Top 15? Maybe. I think my biggest issue was the meat itself, it was a little bland in taste and texture. The frying also gave the cheese a slightly odd mouth feel. I think next time I'd try just the regular batter burger, which is just the patty fried, not the whole thing. I enjoyed the fries that came with it, they were very tasty. I also ordered the 4 piece Chicken Dinner ($17). This has Tender chicken battered in Joe's batter mix fried to perfection. I got this to go and reheated in the oven and air fried to re crisp the next day. It came out perfectly. It was excellent. Super tasty and tender and the batter is excellent. I can only imagine it's even better fresh. I very much recommend the chicken. The service was super friendly and everything was very efficient. The food came out quickly and the prices were very fair. Overall a 5 star review. The Burger is worth a unique experience and the chicken is excellent. Would I return? Absolutely. ”

“ I drove up there from Howell, great place the owner and cook were very friendly. Had to get gizzards to go because had my pup in the car, the owner asked if I wanted some water for my pup. We had Appetizers of huge battered onion rings, mozzarella sticks, nachos. I had the peanut butter porter. Evening was great. ”

“ Hell yea, if you're a fan of gizzards the way I am then you just found paradise. It ain't the cleanest, nor the dirtiest, but if you want the most tender gizzards they melt in your mouth. This is a total dive, but I would bring my best girl here or mother and family no problem. So F ing good. My wife was pissed when i surprised her by taking her here, until she tried her first naked gizzard now she begs to go back. Highly Highly recommend well worth the drive give it a try.
